The young woman holds a ring in one hand, while the old woman sits reading a book. Rare. Made by Johannes Visscher after Nicolaes Pieterszoon Berchem. Medium: stipple engraving / etching with original hand colouring on wove paper. Sheet size: 49 x 67 cm (19.29 x 26.38 inch). Image size: 44.5 x 55 cm. (17.52 x 21.65 inch). Condition: good, given age. Lower margin quite browned, a horizontal crease across the middle of the image, some small repairs of old tears, sheet edges reinforced and partly chipped.
