Oil is routed through premium 10AN nylon braided hose using Raceflux high-flow 90° fittings, minimizing restriction while providing exceptional durability for both street and competition use. The system utilizes an Improved Racing LS oil cooler adapter, designed specifically for LS engines to provide unrestricted oil flow and OE-quality fitment. Because the factory Chevrolet SS cooler is integrated into the cooling system, this kit also includes an Improved Racing coolant port plug, allowing you to properly eliminate the OEM oil cooler circuit for a clean, professional installation. One unique feature of the Chevrolet SS version is the optional Mishimoto 2009.5 Pontiac G8 GXP upper radiator hose. Since the factory SS upper radiator hose includes an unused coolant branch that originally supplied the factory oil cooler, upgrading to the GXP hose eliminates this unnecessary “T” fitting, creating a cleaner engine bay while simplifying the cooling system after the factory cooler has been removed. To ensure long-term reliability, every oil line is protected with fire-retardant silicone-coated fiberglass heat sleeves, helping shield the hoses from exhaust heat and maintain consistent oil temperatures in demanding environments.
